Environmental Safety Team Conducts Workplace Air Quality Management Training at the August Monthly Assembly

LT Metal’s Environmental Safety Team conducted workplace air quality management training for employees during the August 2026 monthly assembly. The training was designed to improve employees’ understanding of air pollutants, emission facilities, and air pollution control facilities, while also sharing key cases of regulatory non-compliance and inspection findings.

Understanding Air Pollutants, Emission Facilities, and Air Pollution Control Facilities

The training covered the definition and major sources of air pollutants, as well as the respective roles of emission facilities and air pollution control facilities. Employees learned how various types of equipment within the workplace are classified from an air quality management perspective, helping them clearly distinguish between emission facilities and pollution control facilities.

Major emission facilities currently operated at the workplace—including reaction facilities, mixing facilities, drying facilities, and furnaces—were also introduced. In addition, the types and functions of air pollution control facilities, such as scrubbers, activated carbon towers, and bag filters, were explained, giving employees a clearer understanding of how these facilities support the company’s overall air quality management system.

Strengthening On-Site Management Through Regulatory and ESH Inspection Cases

The training focused on air quality-related cases of regulatory non-compliance disclosed by local authorities, as well as findings from monthly ESH consulting inspections conducted at the workplace. Key issues identified through these cases and inspections were shared, along with the management requirements to be followed when operating air emission and pollution control facilities.

To prevent similar issues from recurring, the training emphasized the importance of conducting pre-operation equipment inspections and promptly reporting and responding to any abnormalities. This case-based approach helped employees better understand the precautions required in the field and the importance of regulatory compliance.

Working Together for a Cleaner Workplace

The Environmental Safety Team will continue to strengthen employees’ awareness of air quality management and regulatory compliance through regular training and on-site inspections. The team also plans to reinforce the inspection and maintenance systems for emission and pollution control facilities, systematically manage the generation and discharge of air pollutants, and continue its efforts to create a safe and pleasant working environment while contributing to a cleaner local community.
