Chemical and functional materials
Designing the top 1 micrometer of the surface determines a product's life and performance.
LT Metal's precious metal chemical materials take care of that surface
Precious metal chemical materials are functional materials used in electroplating, electroless plating, ink and paste coating, and electrochemical processes. They bring the electrochemical properties, corrosion resistance, reliability, and catalytic activity of precious metals to the surface, improving the performance and life of customer products.
A core material for the electrochemical industry
Insoluble anodes (DSA)
A dimensionally stable anode (DSA) is a titanium substrate coated with precious-metal oxides (RuO₂, IrO₂), giving durability and efficiency in electrolytic and electrochemical processes. Demand is rising across the electrochemical industry: chlor-alkali, water treatment, electrolytic plating, and green hydrogen water electrolysis. LT Metal controls the composition and thickness of the active coating precisely, delivering optimal performance under your electrolysis conditions of current density, electrolyte, and temperature.

Why LT Metal
Three engineering capabilities
Global customers choose LT Metal because our engineering capability in composition, structure, and reliability delivers the performance and quality they specify. That is our core strength.
We engineer composition.
The chemistry, pH, current density, and temperature of the plating bath determine deposit quality. As a manufacturer of precious-metal chemical materials, LT Metal understands how material properties and process conditions interact, and engineers the chemistry to fit your plating process.
We engineer structure.
We engineer the particle size distribution and morphology of silver powder — spherical, flake, irregular — and the active coating structure of DSA to suit the application. Plating solutions, powders, and DSA electrodes: our principal precious-metal chemical materials are produced in-house.
We engineer reliability.
We maintain a material lineup that meets global environmental regulations including RoHS and REACH. Our precious-metal recovery service for spent plating solutions supports your ESG targets — including the supply of UL-certified products — and lowers cost at the same time.
